Dancer, choreographer, pedagogue Vytis Jankauskas is one of the most famous Lithuanian contemporary dance creators.
As a teenager, he was one of the first to start break dancing in Lithuania.
In 1997, Vytis founded the "Vytis Jankauskas Dance Theater". The troupe was founded as a medium where choreographer Vytis Jankauskas could implement his creative visions and ideas. During this period, the choreographer created 13 one-act dance performances for the troupe, which were shown not only in Lithuania, but also abroad, and became an important part of the history of Lithuanian contemporary dance.
