Yo Otahara, born in 1994, was born in Tokyo (Japan), the country in which he began his studies, making himself noticed for his vocal and interpretative skills.
After graduating in singing in Japan, she chose Italy to perfect her studies, thus embarking on a career in bel canto.
Having graduated from the “A.Boito” Conservatory of Parma with top marks and a special mention, under the guidance of M° Francesca Ziveri, her vocal skills and stage presence were appreciated at the auditions in which she participated, so much so that she was selected as the interpreter of the role of Violetta in La Traviata at the Suntory Hall in Tokyo.
She attended the AMO academy of the Coccia theater in Novara and was a student of Paoletta Marrocu.
She made her debut in Italy in the role of Inez (Il Trovatore), given her extraordinary technical growth and artistic sensitivity, she was entrusted with her debut in the role of "Abigalle" in G. Verdi's Nabucco, at the Arena theater in Sordevolo, where she achieved enormous success of critics and the public.
She now studies with Christian Frattima, at his academy and masterclasses.
At the Puccini festival lei 2023 she plays the cover of Cio-cio san from Madama Butterfly and in 2024 she debuts at the Coccia theater in Novara with the same role.
She also sings baroque repertoire (she debuted as Seconda donna by Didone ed Aeneas), and contemporary repertoire (Un bullo in Maschera by Federico Gon, Paganini non repete by Claudio Scannavini).
