Fiery piano virtuoso ALEXANDER PALEY, who does not leave anyone indifferent with his talent and charisma, fulfilled his dream last summer - the ensemble Paleasis, which he assembled and led, made its debut. The name, of course, derives from the surname of the founder. Currently living between New York, Paris and Vilnius, the artist happily shares his impressions of the new ensemble's concerts.
"Not a one-day project, but an ensemble regularly rehearsing, performing and improving - this is my old dream. I am very happy that I managed to realize that dream in Lithuania. I have gathered ten professional musicians who are like-minded with the goal of bringing well-known, rarely performed or just created masterpieces of classical music to the stage. I really hope that the accelerated and active "Palease" will enrich the life of professional music and find its audience in Lithuania and beyond," says A. Paley.
Another outstanding feature of the ensemble is its constantly changing repertoire. Of course, this is a huge challenge for the performers, but at the same time it is also a great opportunity for the listeners to travel around Lithuania with the "Palease" ensemble and hear new programs at every concert. Last year, the "Palease" ensemble already performed at the "Druskininkai summer with M.K. Čiurlionius" festival and attracted a lot of attention from the residents of Druskininkai and the guests of the resort. This year, the ensemble will appear with a slightly updated composition and rich repertoire.
