Program: David Lang (world premiere), Michael Gordon, Philip Glass, Jessie Montgomery

The star-studded program opening the festival with the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra is organized by Lithuanian conductor Adrija Čepaitė, who appears on international stages. According to her, “the program focuses on the music of the famous American composers of this era. It sounds a contrasting present, and at the same time a soothing unity". Highlights of the program include the premiere of David Lang's version of The National Anthems, created especially for the festival, and Philip Glass' Tyrolean concerto for piano and orchestra.
