Fourteen characters - from a film festival director to an elite prostitute, from bankers with their wives to young models - find themselves in the most absurd situations in one night. They are connected not only by the fact that each character is drunk: one was at a bachelor party, another is returning home after a banquet, and the third tried to forget his troubles by drinking at home with friends. Drunkenness not only encourages openness – unexpected conversations develop about true love and the desire to live without fear – but also allows them to confront the idea of divinity.
The author of the play, Iwan Wyrypajew, experiments with a theatrical language based on a completely new aesthetic: although he talks about the brutal reality that surrounds us, he returns poetry back to the theater. This production is interesting in that I. Wyrypajew himself will direct his play "Girti" for the first time. The work addresses the inhabitants of Europe, who have recently been engulfed in confusion and depression, those who have lost or are in the process of losing faith in higher values, in the meaning of life, who have given up in the fight against the imperfection of the world.
