The writer Vytautas V. Landsbergis (b. 1962) created a very unique, strange tale, full of gentle humor, as well as sincere feelings of friendship, loyalty, and love. The plot of the book is surprising and paradoxical. The wild horse Dominykas, who liked to play hide-and-seek with frogs, meets and falls in love with a beautiful and slightly playful cornflower on a modest Lithuanian lawn. As winter approaches, the horse hides the cornflower under a stone because the frost is trying to freeze it, and he goes to Africa himself. His journey is interesting and complex. Dominic meets a polar bear, a crocodile, camels, monkeys, a hippopotamus and other characters, listens to their life stories, and teaches them something. Finally Dominykas gets to the cornfield, where his beloved comes from. As spring approaches, Dominykas returns to Lithuania, because his cornflower must sprout again from under the stone. On the day of her birth, Dominykas gives the name Svajonė to his daughter-in-law.
