The legendary actors of the Youth Theatre return to the stage for a one-off concert featuring the songs of Povilas Keblikas.

January 31, 2025 at 6:30 pm. The legendary voices of the actors will be heard on the stage of the State Youth Theatre. His relatives, friends, colleagues and comrades are gathering to present a set of three CDs by Povilas Keblikas, the theatre's long-standing music director. Kristina Kazlauskaitė, Vidas Petkevičius, Violeta Podolskaitė, Saulius Sipaitis, Vytautas Taukinaitis, Regina Kazlauskaitė, Giedrius Arbačiauskas, Vladas Bagdonas, Veronika Povilionienė, a performer of ethnographic songs, and mezzo-soprano Egle Ignatavičienė will sing on stage. The performers will be accompanied by a rhythm band, including Povilas' daughter Živilė Keblikaitė (piano). Kristina Kazlauskaitė, the host of the evening and the author of the idea, will invite you to dive into the world of Povilas Keblikas.

In 2013, Povilas Keblikas, the concertmaster of the State Youth Theatre and the head of the musical department for many years, left this world, but he has left behind an abundant musical legacy. It is a pity that the long-prepared album of his original songs never saw the light of day. Rimvydas Gaigalas, the sound director of the State Youth Theatre, who was going to publish it after Povilas's death, also left for another reality a few years ago, unable to finish the work he had taken over. In 2024 Povilas Keblikas would have celebrated his 80th birthday.

P. Keblikas has dedicated more than 50 years to the State Youth Theatre and the music it has played. Not a single performance in which the smallest musical part had to be played was without him. He worked quietly, meticulously, responsibly and with immense dedication. Guitar, accordion, oboe - apart from the violin, the musician with the brightest memory had mastered almost all musical instruments. Keblikas simultaneously performed the roles of composer, arranger, conductor and singer. It was thanks to him that the Youth Theatre became known as a singing theatre. For several decades, the House Music Group and the actors' group "Without Make-up" were active here, entertaining Lithuanian audiences for many years. The audience will have the opportunity to listen to the songs of the reborn "Home Music Group".

Meet the legends of the theatre and have a meaningful Friday evening with the well-known original songs by maestro Povilas Keblikas and songs from his plays, invited by the experts of good music "Bardai LT". A set of three CDs will be available for purchase during the concert.
