Welcome to a concert by one of Vienna's leading string duos, Xylos Duo. Violin virtuoso Ieva Pranskutė and the talented Croatian cellist Mislav Brajković have triumphed on prestigious European stages such as the Musikverein Wien, Wiener Konzerthaus, RadioKulturhaus Wien, UN Geneva, Tokaj Theatre in Hungary, the National Philharmonic in Lithuania, the Museum of Applied Arts and others. These are not only two talented individuals, but also a powerful musical combination that makes you think about how the world can sound through the beauty of musical strings. The duo won the prestigious Kodály Award for their outstanding performance of the duet Op. 7 at the ISA Prague-Vienna-Budapest Festival. The soloists, who have been collaborating for eight years, are laureates of international competitions and offer a unique musical journey through different epochs. Their repertoire includes not only classical music, but also contemporary music of the 21st century.
