For the first time, the melodious songs of the famous Polish composer Stanislav Moniuska (1819–1872) "Namų dainyno" will be played in Lithuanian on the website of this house. Vilnius, where the composer spent 18 of the most beautiful years of his creativity and love, inspired him not only to create a family, but also more than 700 songs, which eventually ended up in 12 notebooks of the "Home Songbook"...
Moniuška wrote: "The idea that sounds in my works is expressed in folk songs - from the Nemunas to the Baltic, from Prussia to the Curonian Spit. You will hear it on the shores of Nevėžys and Dubysa, flying to your ear on the wings of morning dew, you will feel how it knocked on your heart in the evening, coming with the rays of the sunset. While traveling around Lithuania, I was inspired by the spirit of ordinary people's songs, and I unconsciously poured it into my works, preserving it as a sacred legacy of ancient times and as the most obvious proof that poetry is innate to Lithuanians..."
At the tea party, you will also hear the verses of Julijas Slovackis and Vladislaus Sirokomlė. As always, tea, delicacies, fun events and some more will await you...
