"Nunsense" is a comical story of the life of monks, which makes you smile widely. An accident occurs in the convent of the Order of Little Sisters in Hoboken: the onions cooked by Julia, the servant of God, poison and almost all the sisters die. The nuns who escaped the calamity decide to organize a support show and collect funds for the funeral of the dead sisters. "Nunsense" talent show, monks' performances and comical interludes just pulsate with fun!
The author says: "I spent a considerable part of my life among monks. Those years left many beautiful memories. I wrote the musical "Nunsense" because I wanted others to know what the humor of the monastery is. As unbelievable as it may seem to you, all of the nuns from the Little Sisters of Hoboken in the musical are real-life personalities. Sister Maria Regina is a typical elder (mother) of the monastery. True, she is a little overweight. But this does not prevent her from being expressive and witty. She tries very hard to convince those around her that she is strict, but almost no one believes her. Sister Marija Huberta is a gentle person, always trying to be an understanding diplomat. Her duty is to teach the nuns who have just entered the monastery the basic rules. It is understandable why you expect to be respected by others. But if it's time to relax, you don't need to urge her for a long time. Sister Ona Roberta is a very good-hearted and perceptive nun. Children especially love her because she knows how to get down to their level. In addition, he is very talented. Sister Maria Amnesia is the embodiment of innocence. He doesn't remember anything about his past. Each new day is childishly happy. Sister Maria Leonarda was a professional ballet dancer before entering the convent. Always happy to share his talent. Because she is still young, she is very sensitive, easily hurt, and it is easy to get her out of the way. Before the performance and during the break, the sisters walk wherever they want: among the audience, on the stage, etc. After all, this is their property, the nuns feel like masters here. They feel at home during the performance as well. The libretto mentions that the action takes place on a stage prepared for the musical "Girls Only in Jazz" and a small orchestra is playing. But the nuns could also organize their support show in the basement of the church, where there would be no decorations and only a simple piano would accompany them. "Nunsense" is a musical for everyone!"
