About the Association Founded in 2002, the Association "Menininkų Grupė Žuvies Akis" is one of the most prominent and innovative centres of artistic creativity in Lithuania. It brings together professional artists from various fields of performing and fine arts who share a common goal - to create interdisciplinary works that enrich the contemporary art field. The name of the association symbolises openness to innovation, artistic experimentation and the courage to look deeper into the essence of the art world. Main Objectives "Menininkų Grupė Žuvies Akis" is committed to: To collaborate with professional artists, both from Lithuania and abroad, fostering individual talents and collective excellence. To create conditions for the emergence of new interdisciplinary works, to promote the mobility of creative ideas. To develop interactive methods in the sphere of art and to seek unconventional spaces for creative solutions. To enable the public to become acquainted with contemporary artistic expressions. Main lines of action The Association initiates various contemporary art projects including: Production of performing and interdisciplinary art projects and organisation of cultural events. Organisation of the annual international arts festival "PLArTFORMA". Organisation of European cultural and educational projects. Vocational training and cultural education. Key Achievements In twenty years of activity, "Menininkų Grupė Žuvies Akis" has implemented: More than 30 art projects in public spaces, including street actions and installations. Over 30 contemporary dance performances, including the creation of the Sheiko Dance Theatre. 14 international arts festivals "PLArTFORMA", recognised with the EFFE label. 6 visual art exhibitions and various international projects. International Cooperation "Menininkų Grupė Žuvies Akis" is actively involved in European and international projects including: EU project "DNA: Development of New Art" partnership. Participation in the contemporary dance network "keðja". Participating in the Eastern European Performing Arts Network "IDENTITY.MOVE!" partnership. SPARSE: Supporting & Promoting Arts in Rural Settlements of Europe.
