Tomas Čiukauskas: Biography and Creative Activities Tomas Čiukauskas, born 22 July 1981. His musical journey began with childhood studies at the Druskininkai Art School and private music lessons at the music studio of Juozas Mikolainis. He began his professional music career in 1999, studying at the J. Gruodis Conservatory in Kaunas and later continued his studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where he was an assistant professor. He studied at the classical saxophone class of A. Fedotov. Although his field of study was classical music, Tomas has always had a strong inclination towards jazz, which manifested itself in the formation of the jazz trio "Džemas". Creative Activities "JAMAS: Tomas Čiukauskas and his first jazz trio performed in clubs in the capital and actively participated in jazz evenings. "Druskininkai Jazz: In 2007 Tomas founded and started to organise international jazz music evenings in Druskininkai, which became an annual space for jazz music. "Friday Alive: In 2008 he released his first album full of original saxophonist compositions. "Leliumai: In 2009, together with ethno-culturalist Lina Klimaviččiūtė, they created an ethno-folk jazz project, improvising on Dzūkai folk songs.
