The collective gathered in Vilnius in 2003 and immediately plunged into an active concert life. In a few years, a colorful and weighty repertoire was accumulated. The credo of the quartet is stylistic diversity; the ensemble tends to play very different music, from classical masterpieces to contemporary music. His repertoire combines the music of J. Haydn, W. A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven, E. Grieg, M. Ravel, D. Shostakovich with Lithuanian music - M. K. Čiurlionis, J. Naujalis, Ed. Balsios, O. Balakauskas, F. Latenas, J. Širvinskas, A. Šenderovs - creations.Art Vio became the laureate of the Republican Chamber Ensemble Competition in Vilnius, participated in the International Chamber Ensemble Competition in Kuhmo (Finland). For several years in a row, the quartet improved in master classes in Reichenau (Austria) conducted by members of the famous string quartets Amadeus, Artis, Bartók, Hagen, Janáček, Smetana.Art Vio purposefully promotes the music of Lithuanian composers. One of the more interesting Lithuanian programs was performed in Berlin (Germany), at a concert organized by the famous composer and conductor Kurt Dietmar Richter, which was dedicated to the memory of Lithuanian and German composers and artists. This performance of the collective was a great success and attracted the interest of the audience. The year 2005 is significant for the young team, when Art Vio was given the honor to participate in the representative concert organized in the Royal Palace during the visit of Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkaus to Spain - the performance was dedicated to the honor of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia.In 2007, the string quartet Art Vio released their first CD, on which they recorded the opus of Lithuanian composers Eduard Balsis, Anatolijus Šenderovs, Juozas Širvinskas. In 2010, a CD was released in London where Art Vio together with pianist Eduard Oganesianus recorded two piano quintets by the German composer Friedrich Gernsheim. This is the first recording of these works in the world.The ensemble took part in the international chamber and organ music festival in Gizycko (Poland), the "Harmos" festival in Portugal. The quartet played one of the concerts of the festival in the most famous hall in Porto, Casa di Musica. Also, the collective was invited to perform concerts at the Usedom Music Festival (Germany) and chamber music festival "Reykholtshátíð" in Iceland, at the International Festival "Probaltica" in Toruń (Poland).The Art Vio Quartet edited and prepared for publication the string quartets of Eduard Balsios and Faustos Latėnas "In Extremis".Composer Vytautas Germanavičius has dedicated the work "Sūpuoklės - on the starry sky vault..." to the Art Vio quartet and the minstrel Aista Bružaita.Art Vio performed together with pianists Indre Baikštyte, Petrus Genius, Lukas Genius, Edvins Minkštims, Mona Kontra (Sweden), violist Jina Schneidt, organist Aiste Bružaita, birby player Egidijus Ališauskas, vocalists Asta Krikščiūnaitis, Kristina Zmailaite, Aiste Širvinskaite, Edmund Seilis, Mindaugus Paradise, string quartet "Almandin" (Germany). With cellist and conductor prof. David Geringu's quartet held concerts in Klaipėda, Vilnius and at the Usedom Music Festival (Germany).
