Ernests Valts Circenis (2000) is a young composer from Latvia, who is currently particularly interested in the themes of different ways of listening, communication and the understanding of time. His works are often slow, meditative and carefully shaped. Ernests uses ascetic musical material in his compositions to create conceived soundscapes. He is currently studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieure de la Musique et de la Danse de Lyon as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
