On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Lithuania's accession to the European Union and NATO, the internationally renowned musicians Vilimas Norkūnas, an expert harpsichordist, and Julija Andersson, a violinist, present the concert series Vilnius at the Intersection of Eras.
In a series of three concerts, the musicians will present exceptional musical programmes for violin and harpsichord, reflecting different eras, from Baroque to contemporary music, and united by historical and cultural links to the city of Vilnius.
On 19 September, the performers will embark on an exploration of Vilnius culture through the prism of classical and romantic music, performing works by W. A. Mozart, J. Haydn, N. Paganini, E. Ysaye and other composers.
This concert is dedicated to the famous violinist Jascha Heifetz.
The concert is free of charge.
Project partner: the Samuel Bak Museum (a division of the Vilna Gaon Museum of Jewish History).
