Painful turns of history mark the lives and destinies of individual people, families, cities or nations. These are people who lived next to us, raised children, had dreams and their own homes...
The talented Jewish people left a bright mark in our country by giving meaning to their existence in art, thus inspiring many to think and create. Žagarė, a small Lithuanian town, is no exception, where cozy and warm Jewish homes where they once lived or worked still stand. A visit to a small settlement in northern Lithuania and the sights he saw there inspired the famous Ukrainian artist Matvej Vaisberg to paint a series of paintings "Stranger Homes".
The unique themes of the artist's paintings invited one of the brightest Lithuanian performers - cellist Gleb Pyšniak, violinist Dalia Dėdinskaitė and accordionist Tadas Motiečių to remember or rediscover Lithuanian Jewish composers J. Achron, C. Cui, A. Šenderovo, J. Heifetz, A. Copland and others. . music and presented as a common synthesis of painting and music in the concert "Stranger Homes".
A sensitive, down-to-earth and dreamy musical spectacle of talented artists.
