Panevėžys String Quartet
Programme - A. Vivaldi, O. Rieding, J. S. Bach, J. Haydn, M. K. Čiurlionis, F. Danzi, W. A. Mozart, A. Piazzolla and other composers. Panevėžys Music Theatre invites you to the concert "Quartet and Young Talents" of the festival for the whole family "For Music and Childhood" on 25.25. It will feature the most famous works from different eras, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of classical music.
The Panevėžys String Quartet combines experience and enthusiasm. The repertoire of the talented musicians Asta Striogaitė-Puodžiūnienė, Diana Labudienė, Girducis Jakaitis and Rokas Vizbars includes music from different eras, genres and styles, from classical to entertainment and jazz compositions. Each year the ensemble prepares several programmes of various kinds, featuring colleagues from Lithuania and abroad. The Quartet is actively involved in the cultural life of Lithuania, organising a cycle of sacred music concerts in Lithuanian churches, performing at festivals, exhibitions, town birthdays, educational programmes in schools and kindergartens, and participating in festivals ("To St Cecilia", "On the Cathedral Stairs", "Heaven Proclaims the Glory of God", "Poetry Spring", Bistrampolis Festival). The ensemble is not limited to Lithuanian horizons - it has performed in Poland, Latvia and Sweden.
For the second year, the festival "For Music and Childhood" invites young listeners and their relatives to the enchanting world of classical music. V.Mikalauskas Arts Gymnasium, Panevėžys Christ the King Cathedral.
