One of the country's most prominent violinists Dalia Dėdinskaitė has prepared a programme together with the internationally renowned pianist Walter Delahunt, who has performed with artists such as Marta Argerich and Gidon Kremer. The programme includes colourful arrangements for violin and piano by the Vilnius-born Jascha Heifetz, the most famous violinist of all time, works for violin and piano by the Lazdijai-born violin prodigy and internationally acclaimed composer Joseph Aharon, and works for violin and piano by the renowned Lithuanian composer Anatoly Shenderov, the fifth anniversary of whose death this year. This interesting and colourful programme of miniatures highlights the parallels between the art and life of violin performance of legendary personalities Heifetz and Achron and the importance of Shenderov's work, as well as the "musical touch" of today's most prominent performers on the work of three personalities with Litvak roots.
