In the evening, Giedrė Kaukaitė's photo portrait exhibition will be open. Their authors are prominent Lithuanian photo artists: Algimantas Kunčius, Ona Pajedaitė, Algmantas Žižiūnas, Antanas Sutkus, Liudas Ruikas.
The audience will also be presented with a stage outfit created by the artist Filomena Linčiūtė-Vaitiekūnienė Giedrei Kaukaitei, stored in the Lithuanian Theater and Music Museum.
Having sung major soprano roles in the Opera and Ballet Theater for ten years, then a soloist of the National Philharmonic for 20 years, and taught at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater for more than three decades, G. Kaukaitė is a nurturer and continuation of our singing art tradition. The first to perform many opuses of Lithuanian composers, she became a part of a new musical movement, a promoter and an inspiration.
After leaving the concert stage, Giedrė Kaukaitė did not abandon the Lithuanian cultural field: she constantly expressed herself in the cultural press, in 2009 released a double album of his sung music by Lithuanian composers "Debesų keliu vijųjoj"| "The bell of the creek"; in 2017 Documentary film "I know that Smoke" produced on Lithuanian television (screenplay author Ugnė Dalinkevičiūtė, director Marius Siparis), 2023. the book of memories "My Eldorado" was published, which was a great success.

Giedrė Kaukaitė made her debut in 1967. In the role of Tatiana (P. Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin") in the Lithuanian State Opera and Ballet Theater at that time. She sang Margarita (Ch. Gounod's "Faust"), Mimi (G. Puccini's "Boheme"), Desdemona (G. Verdi's "Othello"), Halka (S. Moniuszko's "Halka"), Chio Chi San (G. Puccini's "Madame Baterflai"), Širin ("The Legend of Love" by V. Barkauskas), Katrytė ("Rebels" by J. Juzeliūnas). He worked in the theater until 1978. 1978-1998 was a soloist of the State Philharmonic. He sang solo parts of vocal symphonic works, organized over 1000 recitals, performed in Lithuania and around the world.
Singing pedagogue of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater (1977–2009), professor. Honored Artist of Lithuania (1980), People's Artist of Lithuania (1986), Honorary Citizen of Plungė (2006). Awarded the Government Culture and Art Prize (1997), the Knight's Cross of the Order "For Services to Lithuania" (2014).
