Throughout the 2023 anniversary year, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre hosted a series of intergenerational conversations "Conversations in the Great Hall", where renowned masters of the arts and young artists on the rise met. We are continuing the series "Conversations at the Great Hall", but in a slightly different way. From now on, we will see and hear more generations of artists on one stage, the Master and his disciples will talk.
January 30, 6 pm. Aidas Giniotis, one of the most famous Lithuanian actors and directors, founder of the theatre laboratory "Atviras ratas", professor of the Department of Acting and Directing at the Lithuanian Academy of Performing Arts, and his students - actresses, teachers at the Lithuanian Academy of Performing Arts, Aldona Vilutytė and Ieva Stundžytė, actors Jurgis Marčėnas and Matas Pranskevičius, as well as the actor, playwright and dramaturge Justas Tertelis - will be meeting at the Great Hall of LAMT. The evening will be hosted by Ramunė Marcinkevičiūtė, professor of the Department of Art History and Theory of the LAMTA, Doctor of Humanities.
"Living today and preparing for tomorrow, we cannot forget the lessons of the past. Pausing, remembering together, dreaming, talking, discussing - these are the prerequisites to take stock of where we are and to build a future perspective. We draw inspiration and strength from the best and the brightest who have opened the doors of the Academy many times over the past 90 years," says the Rector of the LAMT, J. Žukienė.
"Meetings at the Great Hall" events are open to the public and are free of charge.
