During the concert, the singer wants to share her favourite music with the audience and celebrate the important anniversaries of this year. Urtė will play a variety of Lithuanian folk and European neoclassical compositions. You will hear excerpts from Ludus Modalis, an original work for carillon by Belgian-American composer and carillonneur Geert D'hollander. The highlight of this concert is the celebration of two important anniversaries for Kaunas. Giedrius Kuprevičius, a National Prize-winning composer and long-time Kaunas carillonneur and promoter of carillon culture, is celebrating his 80th birthday this year, and the concert will also feature arrangements of the composer's works.This year also marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mikolas Konstantinas Čiurlionis. On this occasion, the concert will feature harmonised Lithuanian folk songs by M.K. Čiurlionis, as well as G. Kuprevičius' dedication "In memory of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis".At the end of the concert, Urtė will be joined by Kaunas carillonneur Austėja Staniunaitytė-Proietta, who will perform Veronika's aria from the musical "Veronika" (G. Kuprevičius).
