"Jauna muzika" is one of the oldest festivals in Lithuania, first organised in 1992. Over the past three decades, the concept and the name of the event have changed, and now the festival is focused on sound artists and experimental music makers.
The theme of this year's festival is Genesis. The aim of the event is to reveal the meanings of creation, creativity and the entire creative process, emphasising that creativity always overcomes conventional norms and immovable knowledge. Creativity begins through experimentation and interaction with the world, and is intimately connected to the environment and contexts. The results of the creative process can reflect, contemplate, predict and give meaning to all that the artist encounters.
The days of the festival will attempt to reflect the entire creative journey: inspirations, connections, process, transformations and expected outcomes.
