The flying theater, which officially existed in 1911-1914, was restored in 2010 in Mažeikiai. On the initiative of Martynas Januška, laureate of the Shatrija Ragana prize, teacher expert, with the support of the director of the Mažeikiai Cultural Center, Krista Kinčiene. The memory of the first Lithuanian evening in Mazeikiai, which took place in 1905, was revived in 2010. July 6 a newly performed performance by Juozas Vaičkaus based on Žemaitė and Gabrielė Petkevičaitė-Bitė "The Devil in a Trap" (dir. M. Januška). in 2011 director Airida Lementauskienė made her debut with a performance based on Bali Sruoga's comedy "Five-leaf Clover". Currently, 42 actors of various professions, whose ages range from 21 to 82 years old, play in the theater.
in 2014 J. Vaičkaus Flying Theater took part in the Theater Day of the Lithuanian Song Festival "Dyvau dyvai" with the play "Jau saulelė". in 2015 director A. Lementauskienė staged the sacred performance "Jobas" based on Karolis Wojtyla's drama, which was performed in the churches of Mažeikiai, Šiauliai, Klaipėda, Tytuvėnai, Naujosios Akmenė, Kurtuvėnai, Juodkrantė and Vilnius. A. Lementauskienė) and "Medea" based on Jean Anouilh and Euripides (dir. Martynas Januška) - became graduates of "Atspindžių". in 2021 A. Lementauskienė presented in the virtual space the composition "Sneaking with wolves" based on the poetry of Dalia Morozovaitė and the book "Running with wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, the play "Crown and sand", dedicated to the 470th anniversary of Barbora Radvilaitė's death. M. Januška created the plays "And I'm Going" dedicated to the works of Vytautas Mačernis, "Ivinskis obelys" dedicated to Laurynas Ivinskis, the author of the first Lithuanian calendar, "Our good man" based on the works of Žemaitė.
in 2012 The Flying Theater started to organize annual gatherings of amateur theaters and poets in memory of J. Vaičkus and to give meaning to his theatrical works, which became the republican "Teatro Skrajones". The festival brings together like-minded people - the country's amateur theater groups, authors of texts, songs, photographs, folk artists, who enjoy the opportunity to share their creativity, warm communication and cooperation.
The collective is interested in the life and work of J. Vaičkaus, his connection with Mažeikiai, cooperates with the Museum of Mažeikiai and domestic theater experts. On the initiative of director M. Januška, prepared by prof. Aušra Martišiūtė-Linartienė's studio "Juozas Vaičkus: spiritus movens of Lithuanian theater and cinema". The book will give meaning to native J. Vaičkas as the organizer of the first Lithuanian evening in Mazeikiai and Kaunas Governorate, the pioneer of professional theater and the founder of the Lietfilm company.

actors Juozapas Kukštas, Paulius Mylė, Hrismantas Gonta, Ingrida Jestromskienė, Irena Pocienė, Vidmantas Erlickas and others are participants of various projects and celebrations, who have won evaluations and nominations at national events.
Director M. Januška pays a lot of attention to the cultural figures of the Mažeikiai region, preparing various programs in memory of the poets Vytautas Mačerniis, Henrik Nagiis, Antanas Vienažindis, Alfons Bukonts, writer Shatrijos Ragana, director Kazimierus Jagmin, Laurynas Ivinskis, Gabriel and Stanislaus Narutavičiai. in 2020 On the initiative of the director, the theater troupe "Vaičkaikai" of the Third Age University in Mažeikiai was assembled and the play "House Arrest" based on Edmundas Untulis was staged.
