Pierre Cochereau was a French organist and composer born on July 9, 1924. He served as the titular organist of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris from 1955 until his death in 1984. Cochereau was renowned for his improvisational skills and recorded several albums showcasing his virtuosic abilities on the organ. He also composed a number of works for organ, choir, and orchestra.
