Fifteen-year-old Kristofer Bun, who has an autism spectrum disorder, is characterized by an exceptional mind - he is extremely attentive to details, knows mathematics well, is interested in space, but finds it difficult to live with his everyday environment, does not like to be touched, does not trust people.

One night, at seven minutes after midnight, the boy finds the neighbor Mrs. Shirs's dog, Wellington, killed under mysterious circumstances. Feeling blamed for the dog's death, Christopher decides to find the real culprit, but he has no idea where this strange event will lead him.
