Continuing the main themes of the play "Divine Comedy", E. Nekrošius continued to delve deeper and, with the help of actor Roland Kazlo, tried to understand and reveal the paths of the poet's, creator's thought, intuition, imagination, doubts and responsibility for his work. Both in the poem and in the play, the actual chronology of Dante's journey and its details become less relevant. This allows the director to touch the most secret vibrations of the existence of the human soul with barely perceptible, extremely delicate stage images. Both Dante and Beatrice, as well as other characters created on the stage, are minimally real, extraterrestrial, so their every action and word becomes maximally ambiguous and often cannot even be understood in stage language. In this performance, E. Nekrošius manages to go beyond the physical nature of the theater and directly address the audience's feelings, consciousness and even subconsciousness.
