The Klaipėda State Musical Theatre in the educational programme "LOL (The Merry Ship of the Orchestra)" introduces the young audience in a playful way to the musical instruments sounded in the orchestra. The timbres of strings, winds and percussion instruments will be revealed in the most beautiful colours in the lovingly and carefully selected works. The theatrical educational programme will demonstrate the musical possibilities of each instrument and its unique sound, which will magically transform into the sound of a sailboat's mast, the sound of the sea, or even a shark's tooth chattering. The narrator, or the captain of the Merry Orchestra Ship, will introduce young listeners to the history of musical instruments, their structure and the different groups of instruments in the orchestra.
