The initiative of young and talented classical guitar performers in 2004. The assembled Baltic Guitar Quartet is highly valued by the country's classical music fans, and is known abroad as the leading guitar ensemble in the Baltic States. The collective's list of concerts includes more than 25 countries of the world and prestigious halls: Japan, China, Austria, Denmark, and the famous Berlin Philharmonic, Warsaw's Royal Palace, London's Southbank Center. The members of the quartet are winners of various competitions, active performers, their music is sensitive, colorful and delicate, but unpretentious. The quartet deepened its knowledge of the intricacies of the chamber ensemble while studying with the violinist, former longtime member of the Vilnius State String Quartet, prof. Petr Kunac, and also trained with world-renowned musicians and ensembles, including the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Oscar Ghiglia, Pepe Romero, Roland Dyens, David Russell, Laura Young and the Bandini Chiacchiaretta duo.
The Baltic guitar quartet, which has been playing together for twenty years, presents the "Pilgrims" program. Why such a name, the performers will reveal to the listeners only during the concert, and we are left to guess - what was the path of the ensemble traveling together for two decades? The concert program promises the most diverse journeys - through different musical styles, eras, different countries and even time, visiting those who are no longer around.
