The boys' choir of the Riga Cathedral was founded in 1950. Since 1998 choir artistic director and conductor Mārtiņš Klišāns. The choir is one of the most actively performing collectives. in 2001 he was awarded the Grand Music Award. After that, he was nominated several times for this high musical appreciation, as well as for the Record of the Year award. The choir has been actively participating in the productions of the Latvian National Opera for two decades. The choir performed in many countries around the world. He has performed for former US President Barack Obama and 400 of his guests at the White House, the presidents of Lithuania and Finland in Vilnius and Helsinki, the Royal Albert Hall in London and the best concert halls in Japan. The last time the choir performed in Lithuania was in 2015.
Kaunas boys and youth choir "Varpelis" has been delighting music lovers both in Lithuania and abroad for many years. The choir continues its concert activities since the 1960s. Over the years, a rich and varied repertoire has been performed - from J.S. Bach, G.F. Händel, W.A. Mozart, to the opus of L. Bernstein, V. Bartulis, G. Kuprevičius and V. Miškinis. A lot of space in the choir's concerts is occupied by the sounding works of Lithuanian, especially contemporary Kaunas composers. The "Varpelis" choir has had to sing in various musical projects.
