About the Museum The "Nacionalinis M. K. Čiurlionio Muziejus", located in Druskininkai, is one of the most important cultural and art centres in Lithuania. It was founded to honour one of the country's most famous artists and composers, Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, whose work encompasses both music and painting. The museum was officially opened in 1963, although its origins date back to 1921, when the Čiurlionis Museum was established.  Collections and Exhibits The museum houses the world's largest collection of works by M.K. Čiurlionis, including more than 300 works of art and around 400 works of music. In addition to Čiurlionis works, the museum also features works by other famous Lithuanian and foreign artists. There are both permanent and temporary exhibitions, showcasing both historical and contemporary art.  Educational Activities The "Nacionalinis M. K. Čiurlionio Muziejus" is actively engaged in educational activities, offering various programmes and classes for schoolchildren, students and adults. Educational projects encourage people to delve deeper into the work of M. K. Čiurlionis, to understand its significance and influence on Lithuanian and world culture.  Events and Concerts The Museum regularly organises various cultural events such as concerts, literary evenings, workshops and seminars.
