Event description
Heavy bronze bells seem completely at odds with thin fluffy feathers. But in this concert, the carillon's music will sound as soft as down, as light as tassels and as colourful as feathers!
Along with the music, you will flutter, flutter, float and soar through well-known and lesser-heard pieces and songs that are united by the common theme of feathers and feathers. From a mysterious bird to a distant angel, from one colour to many - everything is possible here!
The concert will feature both classical and contemporary pieces, old and new songs. You will also hear original compositions written especially for the carillon. The concert programme includes Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "The Enchanted Flute" (Papageno aria), Richard Wagner's "Die Walküre", original compositions for the carillon by Tom Gurin and Jeroen Malaise, as well as songs by The Beatles, Frank Sinatra and Robbie Williams. All this music will give you wings!
It is important to mention that during the concert Witold Maciak (Poland) together with Jasper Depraetere will perform a duet-premiere in Lithuania: "The Song of The Sunset Sea" by Loreta Narvilaitė (1965).
