M. K. Čiurlionis House, the fourth year of the musical project "Dialogues with Čiurlionis", which initiates the involvement of foreign artists in the world of Lithuanian music, invites you to the second concert of the spring season 2024 with the pianist from Denmark, Kristian Riisager.
March 25th, 2024, On Thursday, 18:00, for the first time at the M. K. Čiurlionis House, the artist is a graduate of the Gradus School in Aarhus (Denmark), Hanns Eisler (Berlin) and the Royal Academy (Denmark). In 2022 he recorded his debut album A Testament to Hope - Piano Works by Beethoven, featuring late works by van Beethoven. The CD has been broadcast several times on radio stations in various countries and received the highest critical acclaim in Piano News magazine, with 6 stars. "Kristian Riisager plays Beethoven analytically, transparently, without sentimentality, and yet movingly, passionately and convincingly" (Piano News).
Winning international competitions has opened the door for the young Danish talent to international stages. He regularly appears in Denmark's main concert halls and at various festivals in Sweden, Germany, Sakartveld and other European countries. This time, the pianist will perform a concert programme for Vilnius audiences, which he has prepared exclusively at the request of the M.K. Čiurlionis House and which includes works by M.K.
