This play will take the audience to a rye bread smelling shop, where we are all welcome to come and make our own homes. In that pirki, parents read a Lithuanian fairy tale to their children. All the members of the family unexpectedly fall in love with the fairy tale, so that the fairy tale becomes reality and reality becomes a fairy tale.

The creators of the play are looking for answers on the stage: what is good and evil, why is it so important for all of us to have a close relationship between family and the community, overcoming the obstacles that come in our way? The journey of Eleni and Joniukas will remind us that it is the unity of the family and of all of us that gives

strength to the Good and only by being together can we defeat Evil.

 

This performance is not only inspired by a magical Lithuanian folk tale, but is also full of Lithuanian songs, folkloric symbols and sacred light, which will allow us to see anew the beauty and the uniqueness of our folklore.
