Event description

When we write, we draw, only in words. A memorable text will be one that conjures up images in the minds of readers and is etched in their memories for a long time.
How do you learn to do this? We call on the impressive Frida, who inspires us to create freely, boldly and without fear of bright brushstrokes with her life and work.

So, we welcome the summer sunset with a new breath of creative ideas, some time for yourself, a chance to connect with other kindred spirits and some (in)fragrant writing sessions! Writing Camp FRIDA - for creativity, relaxation, renewal and improvement of the writing form.

The sessions of Camp FRIDA will be hosted by the writer, creative writing teacher, Associate Professor Dr. Gabrielė Labanauskaitė, who will help you to master the brush of writing and let your imagination fly freely together, through a lively experience and knowledge. Moreover, this camp is not only suitable for artists - the experience gained there will be useful for many people who need to write imaginatively, convincingly and interestingly in their everyday lives.

The silent time of the SILENCE camp will be available not only for writing assignments and personal creations, but also for a quiet time to be with yourself - reading, writing or walking in the woods. We hope that the Antalieptė environment will inspire new experiences and inspirations.

The camp is suitable for those who are both experienced and still discovering their writing skills:)

CONCEPTION

From the Silence Creative Writing Camps are a unique experience that combines writing tasks and time together with a period of silence to regain inner peace and the strength needed for creativity. Therefore, you will not only learn how to write imaginatively, but you will also be inspired by nature, the activities and the other camp participants.

The positive atmosphere of the IS TYLOS camps is the main goal of the organisers, which is built on the principles of support and respect for each other, and therefore intolerance based on a person's race, creed, or orientation is not tolerated here. Together with Gabriele and all the members of the IS TYLOS community, we are creating a safe space, a creative refuge, where we can share our deepest experiences.

This camp is a practical one, focusing on motivation, freeing the mind, but there will be a pinch of theory. The theme of the camp is a guideline for the lecturer Gabrielle to help unleash creativity, imagination and writing skills. And if the camp inspires you to continue with a text you have personally started, you can adjust the programme to suit yourself and choose to attend or skip the sessions.
