I participated in the "59th Summer of Piano Music at the M. K. Čiurlionis House-Museum in Druskininkai". The longest continuously running festival of its kind in Lithuania invites all those planning to visit Druskininkai this summer not to miss the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of M. K. Čiurlionis and to experience the unique tradition of sharing music, created by the artist and composer himself.
Anyone visiting the Čiurlionis House-Museum in Druskininkai cannot help but notice a piece of paper pinned to the wall in the large room of the house, which lists which of the brothers and sisters of Nicholas Constantine used to play the piano at what time. From early in the morning, throughout the day, the house was constantly filled with music, and the evening hours were dedicated to the eldest brother, the composer. When Mikalojus Konstantinas began to improvise, family friends and neighbours gathered in the garden outside the house after their work was finished. The composer's youngest sister, Jadvyga Čiurlionytė, vividly recalled these evenings in her memoirs: "The sun seems to sink into the depths of the earth and sends such a dark blue shroud over the land, and with it a wistful silence... Then the piano sounds, the heart begins to rush, its rhythm merges into the rhythm of the rhythm sounding from the open window".
