Husband of Danutė Gražienė, graphic artist. Graduated from the Lithuanian State Institute of Art (painting) in 1976 and has been teaching there since 1983 (Associate Professor - 1993). Participates in art exhibitions since 1976: individual exhibitions in Vilnius, Klaipėda. Member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union since 1988. Member of the group "24" (1990).

B. Gražys created figurative compositions, landscapes, still lifes. The artist's works are often of complex composition, with dark backgrounds combined with multi-coloured figures; his later works are dominated by bright colours. Characteristic abstracted form, purified motif (man, cat, fish, boat), surrealistic stylistics.

More important works include Speaking (1990), Hanging Eye (1991), Figure (1996), People (1997-1999), Staircase, Cat and Fish (2001), The Woman with the Hat (2002) and others. Works in the collection of the LAM: Still Life with Herring (1979), In a Chair (1983), Din... Dan..." (1989), etc.
